facemasks are THE 100% no nonsense solution to any and all of your
warmth or fogging issues that you could possibly experience!
Fogging inside your helmet can really only be caused by two different factors. The first is the expelling of warm, moisture laden air from your lungs, and the second is heat and moisture that your skin naturally emits. When moisture becomes trapped inside your lid, it can take the form of either fog or ice. Both of which will obscure your vision and maybe wreck your day or trip. No Fog has many models that will combat these situations. The No Fog Extreme mask is designed for use with helmets that employ a heated shield. These masks have comfy fleece and rubber/neoprene components that shield exposed skin. They have an unobstructed mouth opening that won’t interfere with speech, whether it’s conversation, or the use of a communicator. The fleece head cover pulls over the top, and the back has a Velcro closure that makes for a customized, comfortable fit. The attached neck gaiter fits down inside the collar of your jacket to cover any neck draft areas. The original No Fog mask is a must for anyone sporting an MX style helmet on the snow. The close fitting seal that the No Fog delivers cannot be compared to anything that attaches to your helmet. Now this model comes with the over the head fleece attached, similar to the extreme mask. This covers all exposed skin and gives the option of riding with your MX style helmet well into the Zeros, with no problems. As well, the material helps with the wind noise that is characteristic of MX helmets at lake, or rail line speeds because it covers up your ears. If you already have the original No Fog mask and have experienced cold around the outsides, or top of your goggles, No Fog offers the MX Head Strap as an option. This is a rubberized band that goes over top of the mask to cover forehead and temple areas. It is a good little piece to keep in the pocket of your suit or even in your tool pouch in case conditions change while you are out. Check out No Fog breath deflectors on line at www.nofogusa.com and keep your eyes out for our review of a new twist on this already awesome product. The No Fog mask now comes with an optional heating element in it that can run on a battery pack, or from the electrics on our sleds. Nice! We can’t wait for it to arrive and try it out! |
