Touring around Hayday’s 2009 OSM (On Snow Magazine), it’s quickly is assured that snowmobiling in North America is continuing its momentum forward. Hats off to the Snow Baron Club and all involved in the 2009 Hayday’s Swap meet and Show. Well done! With Haydays under our belt and the 22nd Annual Toronto International Snowmobile & ATV Show fast approaching October 16, 17, and 18, the season is sure to be off to a tremendous start for this year.

There will be all four OEMs; Yamaha, Arctic Cat, Ski-Doo/Can-am and Polaris, as well as numerous travel and after market vendors, never seen at the Toronto Snowmobile and ATV Show or in Canada at a show. Included, will be The Ultimax Freestyle Show with 2 times Gold Medalist, Joe Parson, as well ATV Obstacross, and new for this year; the factory backed Can-Am Demo ATV track. You will be able to buy Ontario and Quebec trail passes, because the Ontario and Quebec Snowmobile Federation and all their clubs will be present.

OSM (On Snow Magazine) and Toronto Snowmobile and ATV Show have teamed up providing all that is necessary; classrooms, chairs and tables etc., so that the Ontario Snowmobile Federation can provide driver training for new riders 12 years old and over. You must pre-register either by phone or on-line and the cost is only $30.00. In addition, OSM (On Snow Magazine) and the Toronto Snowmobile ATV Show will allow kids that are participating, free admission to the show.

We as snowmobilers and snowmobile clubs have to do our part; BRP SKI-DOO has launched their new program, contributing with all of our help, One Million dollars to the snowmobile clubs of your choice.  The NATIONAL TRAILS COALITION (NTC) has received a grant from the Federal Government of Canada, an investment of $25 Million for the development of projects and enhancements of recreational trails, bridges, and water crossing.

They’ve done their part, now it’s time we do our part to participate and volunteer in making the sport of snowmobiling grow.  J
